ABOUT ME
Hometown: Edmonton, AB
Sports Background: Competitive gymnastics as a child, then switched to volleyball. Played volleyball for high level clubs and Team Alberta, then played college ball in Grande Prairie and Red Deer
Coaching Background: Started coaching volleyball after retiring, then got into personal training. Since then I’ve also specialized in Behaviour Change Coaching and Sports Performance Coaching. I now coach at Archetype and with Athlete Wellness Academy
Education: Diplomas in Personal Training and Nutrition Science, ACE certified Personal Trainer, Behaviour Change Specialist, Sports Performance Specialist, Pre- and Post-Natal Certified Trainer
Hobbies: Joyful Movement (aerial silks, yoga, sports, dance, animal flow, etc. the weirder the better), Food (truly a foodie at heart), hanging out with Jackie (my Australian Bernedoodle), Board Games (okay, any type of game), Movies (especially horror/thrillers)
Philosophy: I believe in Tiny Habits, Joyful Movement, Body Neutrality, Intuitive Eating, and genuine behaviour change. It’s not about what you’re able to do for 6 weeks, it’s about what you’re able to do for 6 years. Consistency over perfection and listening to and respecting your body are truly the most important things to keep in mind when you’re trying to make lifestyle changes that stick and promote good health in the LONGterm
